NEW YORK & CHICAGO – May 16, 2017 – Fiber Prime Telecommunications (FPT) announced today they are expanding their network infrastructure to Central America.
Following a board meeting held last week in New York, CEO Luiz Fuschini announced the expansion of FPT’s operations to several Central and South American countries; including Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Belize, Mexico and Ecuador.
This decision is part of a strategy, initiated in January 2017, when it was announced FPT acquired Unimundi, an infrastructure company based in Brazil, which continues FPT’s expansion initiative throughout the Americas region. Mark Sparger, COO of FPT, stated “with the evolution and continued advancement in technology which is driving increased demand, we anticipate significant growth opportunities in the Central American marketplace.”
Details of the specific investment will be released in June 2017.
